THE "GETTING TO A YES" SERIES 2: THE SPONSOR

  THE  "GETTING  TO A YES "  SERIES 2:  THE   SPONSOR!! Happy Weekend Folks, Trust you are doing great and making the best of the month of June. From my end I took up a series titled "Getting To A Yes" where I share insights on how you can push to get the job done, working with different (but reasonable) people on your project. I started out identifying the folks you would mostly need a yes from and the first on the list is The Sponsor (a.k.a The Boss). My choice of the word "Sponsor" (over Boss) is deliberate and that's because anyone can claim to be the boss yet have no capacity, while being a sponsor is capacity personified 😊 This statement hails from my past experiences mistaking appearance for capacity, especially working in a city with a "fake it, till you make it" culture (name of the city withheld) 😄 The question therefore is; how can one qualify The Sponsor?, and how do you get a yes from them? 👇 #1:  LISTEN  WHO THEY ARE  Again, ...

THE  "GETTING  TO  A  YES "  SERIES:  WHAT'S A  YES?!! Hi Peeps, I guess you are doing great and making the best of the sixth month that's six days gone. It's a brand new month with a brand new series, where I get to share my experience managing people on projects, The "Getting To A Yes" Series holds some insights for my audience especially if you have to liaise with people from time to time in the bid to get your job done. In other words, getting the job done requires getting to a yes. I understand we sometimes work with unreasonably difficult people, but for now my goal is to help you see how best you can push to get the job done, working with different (but reasonable and ideal) people, without becoming a tyrant on one end, or a 'yes man' on the other. It's been 5 weeks since I began the mission to guide my audience on how to make the best of their spaces on a little budget and limited timeline, with a gig titled The "More For Less" Series. Hello and happy weekend Folks, It's interesting to know the month is split in half already, I guess you are achieving your goals for May as fast as May 🙂 The "More for Less" Series is still on with the agenda to guide my audience on how to make the best of their space on a little budget and within a limited timeline. In my last post I addressed what is perhaps the most prevalent need for most folks; the need for IDEAS, I hope you found it insightful? Now to the subject of DELIVERY or EXECUTION  I have come to realise from experience that execution of ideas has become more tasking than ever. THE  "MORE  FOR  LESS"  SERIES 2:  IDEAS!! Hi there,  Trust this post meets you well and I guess May is turning out great for you. My first post for the month started out with the introduction of The "More for Less" Series, where I mentioned that I will be segmenting my posts by the nature of needs rather than just generalizing them. If I were to ask my audience; "what would be the most prevalent need for making the best of your space, besides the need for funds and time?", I can bet the most reoccurring answer would be the need for IDEAS. An idea is defined as "a concept, thought, or mental image formed in the mind". As simple as this may sound, the stage of ideation is perhaps the most difficult in the entire design process.
