THE "GETTING TO A YES " SERIES 2: THE SPONSOR!! Happy Weekend Folks, Trust you are doing great and making the best of the month of June. From my end I took up a series titled "Getting To A Yes" where I share insights on how you can push to get the job done, working with different (but reasonable) people on your project. I started out identifying the folks you would mostly need a yes from and the first on the list is The Sponsor (a.k.a The Boss). My choice of the word "Sponsor" (over Boss) is deliberate and that's because anyone can claim to be the boss yet have no capacity, while being a sponsor is capacity personified π This statement hails from my past experiences mistaking appearance for capacity, especially working in a city with a "fake it, till you make it" culture (name of the city withheld) π The question therefore is; how can one qualify The Sponsor?, and how do you get a yes from them? π #1: LISTEN WHO THEY ARE Again, ...
