THE "EVICTION" SERIES 3: REORDER!!!
THE
"EVICTION "
SERIES 3:
REORDER!!!
How is it coming over there?
It's the last weekend in October and I'm wondering how we got here so quickly, just the way we sometimes wonder how our spaces get filled up with stuff in no time.
This is the issue I sought to address with the series for the month and I guess you have made attempts to declutter following guidelines from my recent posts.
My approach to the "Eviction" Series is subtractive (Less is More) and I started out by sharing insights on how best to declutter your space. Do well to check it out here π

Now let's focus on REORDER, and here are two nuggets that will serve as a guideline on the subject matter π
#1:
JUST BECAUSE
IT FITS
DOESN'T
MEAN IT
BELONGS
Paying attention to what you need for your routine is crucial for a reorder.
For instance, a typical work week for a banker should feel like
π½ 5 sets of a 3-piece suit
π 5 pairs of shoes
πΌ 3 sets of briefcases
And the list goes on.
This collection could go on repeat bi-weekly, monthly or on a longer cycle, however that should depend first on the storage available in your space, just before you think about status and trends.
I hope you get my point?
#2:
JUST BECAUSE
IT'S IN
YOUR SPACE
DOESN'T
MEAN
IT'S YOURS
I'm yet to have separate rooms for my kids and so it's common to have one person's stuff cross into the other person's storage.
It's easier to explain this P.O.V to my son who is older, while it usually ends in an argument with my 4 year old daughter. You keep hearing her say "it's my own" (in a voice that's hard to resist) π
Why?, because she thinks whatever is in her storage belongs to her.
While I wait for her to grow, I need every adult out there to know that a chunk of what's in your space "isn't yours".
This may be a difficult point to accept, but it could be the way out of cramped up spaces, if only you open up your mind to view things from a different perspective.
With a simple "what is really mine?" analysis, you will get to know how this applies in your case.

#3:
REMEMBER
This slide feels strange and that's because it's supposed to feature in my next post, however next Saturday is November π€π
A miscalculation you say, but a deliberate one to help us know "WE CAN ALL ADJUST"
As I wrap up this series, I would like to thank you for your attention and also leave you with a few nuggets π
Remember:
π¬ "YOU CAN ACTUALLY LIVE WITHOUT IT"
π¬ "SOMEONE ELSE MAY NEED IT MORE THAN YOU DO"
π¬ "DO NOT LIVE FOR YOUR NEXT BIG SPACE UNTIL YOU ARE THERE"
π¬ "CONSULT KENNY IS ALWAYS AVAILABLE TO HELP YOU MAKE THE BEST OF YOUR SPACE"
And here is where it all beginsπ
