*THE "HEROES OF THE INDUSTRY" SERIES: MY PERSONAL HEROES*

Hello and happy weekend peeps,

Trust this post meets you well.

It's that time of the month when we call it a wrap as the entire series in April showcase professionals whose input have been of tremendous impact in the interior design industry.

My previous posts in the series paid attention to industry Pioneers, Game changers and Fort holders with selections based on access to verified information and not personal preferences (even though I have had the privilege to meet or work with some of these professionals in the course of my career).

So now as I wrap up this series, permit me to get personal as I beam the spotlight on just 3 *out of several* professionals whose input have positively impacted my journey as an interior designer, hence making them my personal heroes πŸ‘‡:

*#10: YEWANDE ALAO*

Bio: Mrs. Y as I love to address her is the Managing Director, Patios and Caves LTD, an interior design and construction firm based in Lagos.

Before venturing into the design industry she worked in the corporate world both in the U.K as the regional head Budget Rent-A-Car, and in Nigeria as Assistant Vice President (AVP) FCMB.

She has a wealth of experience with works spanning across top organizations like Halogen Group, Insights Communications, Leo Burnett, just to mention a few.

Me: Trust me when I say she is detailed to the core 😊.

Working with Mrs. Y has exposed me to the corporate affairs in interior design.

I wouldn't forget the times she set me up to exchange mails and get briefs from top executives of large organizations. All of that made me a better person today.

*#11: THE BOB-IWE'S*

Bio: Mr. Ken Bob-Iwe is a Principal Partner at Natuhab Consultants, while Mrs. Adangozi Bob-Iwe is the Managing Director of Seanzara Interiors.

This twin establishments feature on top notch construction and interior design projects I have been privileged to be part of.

Me: There is not so much I know about there corporate affairs, but trust me when I say they are the most inspiring "corporate couple" I have ever met.

I will never forget all the briefs we have had on the dining table in their home. To them it's a brief but to me it's an impartation of the great virtues that oozes all around their family.

The way Mr. Ken graciously shuffles between his house and office (even though it's quite a distant apart) tells a lot about the great work he and his amazing wife have done together.

And pls don't ask what has this got to do with interior design, remember it's time to get personal πŸ˜€

*#12: ROY AMORUE*

Bio: Roy is an Architect and a CAD Technician with well over a decade experience working in Nigeria, U.A.E and U.K

He is well versed in building codes and regulations with expertise in Revit modelling and design, AutoCAD drafting and design, Lumen visualisation, Project planning on Primavera P6, Synchro Pro and more.

Me: The best phrase that describes Roy's impact in my life is "destiny helper" (a phrase common with Christians in Nigeria) 😊

He literally took me by hand infusing knowledge and skills that makes me relevant in the design industry till date, and that's enough reason to call him a hero.

It's my desire to become a hero on your next project.

Do not hesitate to keep in touch on matters relating to your space.

I'm Kenny, an interior designer and project manager
