THE "ALL THINGS BEING EQUAL" SERIES: SPACE!!

THE "ALL THINGS BEING EQUAL:

SPACE!!!

Hello folks,

Welcome on board the month of March, wishing you every fortune that the month has to offer.

There is an excitement that comes with introducing a new series and the feeling is the same as I introduce The "All Things Being Equal" series where I seek to unveil equations behind what makes components within your spaces work effectively.

Let me put it this way, for most of the things you see and use, there is more than meets the eye. For instance the programming behind the features on your smart phones, the recipe that makes up the menu in your favorite restaurant, and so on.

In the same vein, there are components at work within your space that you may not identify, yet they play a critical role in making your space functional and appealing.

I will highlight a couple of such components in this series and for each one of them I will be revealing the formulas behind the equation that makes them work.

My approach to this series ought to be somewhat technical, however I'm committed to make this easy for you, my exceptional audience 😊.

So it's game time, and I would like to start with the SPACE in itself.

Primarily every space you get into, regardless of their size or magnitude, feature 3 major components πŸ‘‡

#1:

THE FLOOR

Sounds basic right?, but it probably had never occured to you that there is no space without a floor πŸ˜€

From a simple sketch on paper, to a complex architectural plan, this is where everything within your space evolve and the better planned your floor is, the more functional your space gets.

#2:

THE WALL

This is the part that gives character to your space.

It's an essential component in your space that allows for privacy, ventilation and conveyance.

This is also a feature we are less likely to utilize as a means to connecting the inside world to the outside world, as used in the picture attached to this slide.

#3:

THE CEILING

Largely undermined yet very crucial, the ceiling is not only meant to prevent your head from sunshine and rainfall πŸ˜€.

It is a power house for lighting, insulation and guess what?, zoning or segmenting your space as shown in the picture attached.

So in summary, FLOOR + WALL x CEILING= SPACE

Common, here is a designer's secret I'm sharing with you, please don't say I told you 🀫

There is a lot more to share with you, but I have to make this a secret between us, so I suggest you click the link below πŸ‘‡
