THE

"BLUE,

RED,

& PURPLE"

 SERIES 4:

HELLO

PURPLE!!!

Hi there,

How is the month of March coming for you?

I guess it's been great, and I'm confident the insights from my posts on The "Blue, Red and Purple" Series have been helpful as well.

In the bid to explore the world of colours, I started out highlighting the stability of color Blue, then moved on to express my notion of the contradictions portrayed by color Red. Do well to check out these intriguing posts using the link below πŸ‘‡

And now to the third color in the mix; Purple, let's have a look at:

🟣 The general meaning and associations of purple

πŸ’œ The effect of colour purple on spaces

πŸŸͺ And of course, my take on color purple

I assure you won't regret your decision to follow this post through to the end 😊

Let's get going πŸ‘‡

#1:

MEANINGS

ASSOCIATIONS

Simply defined, purple is a colour intermediate between red and blue.

Purple is associated with artistry and creativity which explains why it is largely featured on art canvasses, album covers, and other piece of artistic expressions.

It is widely acclaimed that lovers of purple are seen to be a good judge of character, and a visionary with a great need to participate in humanitarian issues.

Speaking of humanitarian issues, colour purple comes to fur with initiatives that seeks to make life better for humanity. The women's right movement and the campaign against domestic violence are perfect examples that comes to mind.

And of course I won't fail to mention that purple has a strong affiliation with royalty, nobility, luxury, power, and ambition.

#2:

PURPLE &

YOUR

SPACE

From my experience as an interior designer, one of the best ways to incorporate colour purple into your space is with ACCESSORIES.

Because purple has the tendency to create balance in a space, you won't go wrong using any shade of it on accessories like curtain hardware, soft furnishings and ornaments.

You can also consider lighter shades of purple like lavender and lilac, as they inspire calm and relaxation, making them ideal for spaces like bedrooms or meditation rooms.

Checkout the picture attached to this slide to have an idea of what I'm talking about.

#3:

PURPLE

AND

ME

Frankly speaking, I never had a thing for colour purple until I knew it's my wife's favourite colour (you know what I mean) πŸ˜€

Besides the word "BALANCE", I have tried really hard to find an alternative to the word that best describes colour purple to no avail.

And to sum it up, I would recite a statement from the preview of this series; "If there was a tug of war between red and blue, then purple would be the mediator 😊"

And mediation is the grounds on which I will be rounding up this series next weekend, please don't miss out.

Always remember I'm here to help you make the best of your spaces and projects. It all begins here πŸ‘‡
