THE "MORE FOR LESS" SERIES 4: WHAT ABOUT YOU?!!
THE
"MORE
FOR LESS"
SERIES 4:
WHAT
ABOUT
YOU?!!
Happy Weekend Peeps,
It's such a pleasure to have your attention again as I proceed with The "More For Less" Series, a mission to guide my audience on how to make the best of their spaces on a little budget and limited timeline.
From the onset, I chose to segment my posts on this series by needs rather than being generic, this got me to address the series from 2 angles 👇
💡 the need for IDEAS
🚚 the need for DELIVERY
Do well to use the link below to glean insights from my previous posts 👇

Now I will be addressing the needs that are peculiar to my audience, and from findings, the most reoccurring need is centered around TRUST.
Trust in this context is not just a concern for the outcome of the effort to transform your space. (in terms of aesthetics and functionality), but trust for the process of execution itself.
While a single post wouldn't do justice to this subject, permit me to address the top 3 on the list 👇
#1:
PEOPLE
With my years of experience as an interior designer and project manager I have had to deal with various people (vendors, artisans, colleagues etc) and I know dealing with people is one of the toughest things I have to do on my job.
So when it comes to the people factor, here a few nuggets from me to you;
- be observant; people will do to you what they do to others in your presence.
- be rational; know everyone's got strength and weaknesses.
- be a stickler; go with the few that's proven to deliver.
#2:
FUNDS
I do not have so much to say when it comes to establishing trust for the funding of your projects, but I will tell you one thing that works for me;
A CONTRACTOR'S BOND
A contractor’s bond (or surety bond) is a three-party agreement that guarantees a contractor will fulfill their contractual obligations. It protects project owners against financial loss if the contractor fails to finish a project.
The parties involved in this setup includes:
The Principal: The contractor performing the work.
The Obligee: The project sponsor (you) requiring the bond.
The Surety: The insurance company backing the bond that provides the financial guarantee.
#3:
USAGE
Here is a subtle yet crucial concern, and that's because it's very easy to drift off the original purpose intended for a space.
If you have ever seen a disorderly space, chances are high you are in a space that's no longer serving the purpose for which it was created.
So in approaching the subject of usage, it's ideal to clearly identify the end users of the space, and engage them to achieve alignment.
This is where professionals like myself come on board and that is why project briefs are essential.
