THE 'QUESTIONS PEOPLE ASK' SERIES... PT. 1
Hi folks,
Trust you had a productive week.
As work activities and daily living routine resume for the year it has become imperative to pay attention to questions about how best you can utilize your spaces in 2023, hence the emergence of this series.
Although there are different questions coming from the audience, it appears there is a particular one that tops the list.
*Q1: What are the design trends for 2023?*
Believe me, the subject of design trends is broad enough to be addressed as a series (as the case was in January 2022), however this time I will be dedicating the whole of today's post to this subject so I'm able to address other questions in my subsequent posts in this series.
So in collaboration with my colleague, Dorcas @kleanhousedecor, here are some of the design trends we are projecting for 2023 π:
*TREND #1: ACCENT LIGHTS*
2023 holds a lot for accent lights. From ceiling to staircases and furniture pieces, there will be adoption of lights for diverse purposes, with the lighting systems mostly controlled by sensor devices
With accent lights taking center stage in the world of lighting this year, it is however important to stress that your crave for accent lights should not override the place for general lighting, where general lighting is the right amount of light needed for you to carry out basic activities in your space.
Pls consult with professionals on lighting for guidance on what works for your space.
*TREND #2: INDOOR PLANTS*
Here is what Dorcas @kleanhousedecor has to say;
With more of us working from home, bringing greenery into your space is vital.
Plants improve the air quality around you and reduce anxiety and stress, making this home decor trend not just functional but also healthy.
Our brains associate nature with relaxing and this helps boost our moods.
If you aren't a 'plant person' consider being one as they are low on maintenance as well.
*TREND #3: WALL PANELS*
Just as in 2022, walls will still be adorned with various forms of wall panels (wood, PVC, glass etc) in 2023.
In some cases, panels will be incorporated into furniture pieces like T.V unit (as shown in this picture), while in other scenarios panels will take the center stage as the dominant component for focal walls, bed headboards, and other furniture pieces.
In other not to be lost in all of these, kindly connect with me on any of the interactive channels listed on my signature below.
