THE "BEAUTY IN THE MESS" SERIES: FACE THE WALL!!!

Hey peeps,

Trust you are doing great and enjoying the best July has to offer.

The series for the month is all about making beauty out of a mess, and I established in my introductory post that it's only normal to have messy situations in the spaces we live in and work from.

Regardless of the situation, the objective of this series is to help my audience discover means by which you can evoke beauty out of messy spaces as I share insights on the subject matter.

The focus for today is on walls and how to keep them in order πŸ‘‡:

*#1: GET ALONG*

First things first, just before I get ambiguous with my solutions on this post, it is important to adopt the 'first aid' approach to solving the issue with messy walls.

Suggesting you get along does not imply you ignore the mess, but simply proposes a much more basic approach such as repainting your walls from time to time, or cleaning the stains using microfiber cloth/wipes and other simple solutions that helps get rid of dirt from your walls.

So this means you schedule times when you shop for paints and cleaning products, then have your gloves on and get along 😊.

*#2: GET GLAZY*

One good way to prevent stains from getting stuck on walls is by featuring materials with glazy properties.

You will never go wrong finishing your walls with materials like Stucco (as shown in this picture) ,marble, porcelain or ceramic tiles.

Although the cost of this option is not the cheapest available, but you are rest assured of an easy clean whenever you spot a stain on your wall.

*#3: GET CREATIVE*

As uneasy as it is coming by creative means to tackle messy walls, you will agree with me that nagging or yelling is never a  way to making beauty out of a mess.

There are several creative ideas around D.I.Ys (Do-it-yourself) on different platforms online (Consult Kenny inclusive).

For instance, attempting to have a vertical garden (as shown in one of the pictures in display) over a wall with the highest exposure to stains in Your space is one creative solution you can engage in your free time.

Or perhaps, you can engage yours truly to get ideas and help with guidelines on how you can go about it.

Whatever the situation, remember Consult Kenny is looking forward to hearing from you on matters relating to your space.

I'm Kenny, an interior designer and project manager.
