THE
"ABOUT THIS TIME"
SERIES 3:
THE
SEASONS
YOU HAVE
HEARD ME
BRAG
ABOUT!!!
Hello Peeps,
Trust this post meets you well and I guess it's a good time to have your attention as I delve further on the series where I reference cycles of seasons that spans 2 decades of my life, ranging from year 2004 to 2024.
My last post was an eye opener as I referenced unpopular but pivotal moments of my life that were triggered by boredom, please do well to read (if you haven't), using the link below π

If you have followed my posts long enough, you would notice I often repeat the statement; "In my over a decade of experience as an interior designer and project manager". And you won't be wrong to say that's my bragging line π
But truth be told, the more I reflect on my achievements and the years of experience I 'brag about', the more humbled I become upon realizing they all began with seemingly little moments.
Allow me share some of such moments π
#2014:
DESIGN
AND
BUILD
About This Time 10 years ago ππ€
Photo: Renovated classroom at GSS Malam Madori, Jigawa, Nigeria.
With no intention to brag, I have been privileged to feature on high profile projects both home and abroad, but instead of showcasing the grandest of them, I would rather feature what I would call my first ever personal 'design and build' project.
As a youth corp member, who was 680+ miles away from home seving my nation, I had the privilege to propose a classroom renovation design for my community development project.
Kudos to the school management, the state government and the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) for honoring me upon completion of the project π
It sure was a springboard that launched my takeoff as an interior designer and project manager.
#2020:
FATHERHOOD
AND
COVID 19

The more I consider making this post about my achievements and experience, the more I realize there is more to life than meets the eyes.
2020 was a defining moment for me as the COVID 19 lockdown experience presented me an opportunity to assist my wife in babysitting our then 7 months old son, who now claim to be a Big Boy π
With all project sites under lock and key, and my phones gone mute (a shocker for a project manager of my pedigree), it dawned on me that family is all I have.
Admitting this truth gave rise to many great things including the emergence of the Consult Kenny, the brand you now know today π
#2022:
CONSULT
KENNY
LAUNCH
What started as simple idea in 2020, became a full blown enterprise in 2022, reaching thousands of people with an agenda to make the best of their spaces.
And here is the lesson
β As we go higher in life, chances are high we put on a magnifying lens on our achievements and accolades. I hope my post serves as a call to action for someone to look back and appreciate the days of LITTLE BEGINNINGS.
And if you need a helping hand, we could make a beautiful collection of your throw back pictures, frame them and get a perfect wall to hang them in your space π
