Hi peeps, 

I guess this post meets you well just as I appreciate your attention all through The "Where I Wanna Be" Series 👏

In the course of the week I had a virtual engagement with a prospect who wanted to make something meaningful of an open space in the back porch of his apartment. After getting the brief I shared some concepts describing what he needed and "boom"💥 he got so excited that he said "God bless you Mr. Kenny". That's what you get when you help people get a sense of clarity and direction.

This got me to realize that "the true essence of what I do as an interior designer and project manager is not so much about the beautiful spaces I create, but much more about the experience people get along the line". And the same applies to everyone of us.

Looking out to help people attain their dream is great, but there could be more. which is why I pitch these 3 critical "wanna be" experiences we all should seek to attain 👇


#1: 

PURPOSE 


Purpose simply defined is the reason for which something exists or is done, made, and used.

Just as there is a purpose for everything so there is a purpose for everyone, and it differs in expression from one person to another.

There are a couple of pointers to finding the purpose we are created to serve, with one of the most effective being OBSERVATION.

✅ Do well to observe what gets people elated around you

✅ Do well to know what makes you distinct at what you do


#2:

IMPACT 

Where purpose is knowing what you should be doing to be of help, impact is actually DOING IT.

Referring to the instance of the prospect in my last slide I would ask, if helping him find clarity with what describes his wanna be space sparks excitement, how much more the actualization of the dream?

✅ Do impact as soon as soon as purpose is found

✅ Do impact with a sense of urgency 


#3: 

NEW EARTH 

If you have never heard of this before then let me jump at the opportunity to tell you about what should be our most important "wanna be" aspiration.

The New Earth is a place described in the Holy scripture and it features some of the coolest things you would never find anywhere here on earth; for instance 👇

📉 It has the most accurate survey plan with dimensions that no city on earth has got, as it is evenly equal in length, width and height.

‭😇 There is a signpost at the gate of the New Earth that reads "BEWARE, ANGELS ON GUARD".

💎 All walls and streets in this city are made of precious stones with see through properties.

As for me, I'm trying my best to connect with my audience beyond the scope of my job as an interior designer and project manager by referencing cycles of seasons that spans 2 decades of my life, ranging from year 2004 to 2024.
