THE "WHERE I WANNA BE" SERIES: GET THE DRIFT!!
THE
"WHERE I
WANNA BE"
SERIES:
GET THE DRIFT!!!
Hello folks,
It's a new month in which I expect great things to happen for you and I π
I'm kicking off a new series, one whose intro is born out of pressure as I recently got a call from a client who requested I resend a 3-dimensional design we had rendered for an organization he represents.
I got into our archives to retrieve the 3+ years old file only to realize the hard drive we had it on was damaged with no back up in view.
The good news is that the file was eventually found some weeks later but of course with some intense pressure on everyone who worked on the brief.
I share this experience to emphasize how important dreams and aspirations are to humans, and this was the force behind the relentless effort we all put in to ensure the vision we helped our client create was restored. Kudos to my team π
That design is our client's "wanna be", what's yours?
What's that expectation you have for your work and living spaces?. And if none, how do you create one?
So the aim for this series is to share practical insights that will help my audience both aspire and actualize their ideal space without hassle.
And here is how I plan to go about it π
#1:
ASPIRE
This is where it all begins, and by begin I mean both the success and the failure of a project.
Every design idea is a product of an aspiration, whether it's to have a floating house, an up-side-down apartment (as seen in the picture attached) or even something more daring.
My post in the coming week aims to guide my audience on how best to express their ideas in different languages as it applies to the various parties involved in the journey from aspiration to actualization.
Please be on the lookout for this.
#2:
ENQUIRE
It's not enough to aspire and that's because there are dynamics that comes to play in the course of executing our aspirations.
Using construction projects as an example, there are building codes, industry regulations, climate and social indices among other factors that must be considered along the line.
It's therefore important to see our aspirations through the right lenses by obtaining adequate information that would help draw the line between what's ideal and what's achievable.
This will be in a forth night.
#3:
REQUIRE
Aspire, Enquire and Require sounds like a perfect rhyme for a motivational speech right? Let's just say I'm switching careers from project management to public speaking π
On a serious note the idea behind Require is beyond finding a word that rhymes, rather it's a mission to engage my audience in a way that's as practical as possible, as I seek to get a brief of your dream space hoping to help you make something out of it.
With a click on the link below, you stand a chance to share your brief and get a design concept for your dream space in the course of this seriesπ

I hope that's not too much to require. And do not worry, your file won't get missing π
