THE "EVICTION" SERIES 2: DECLUTTER!!!

THE

"EVICTION "

SERIES 2:

DECLUTTERING!!!

Happy weekend Peeps,

Trust you are doing great.

I'm pleased to have your attention even as I take up the herculean task of guiding my audience on how to achieve more with less, a mission to help you make a difference in your spaces.

A good place to start is by addressing CLUTTER, and I mentioned in my introductory post that a cluttered space increases stress levels, boost anxiety, and even negatively impact the sleep quality and physical health of the occupier of a space, all of which makes the subject of decluttering an essential part of The "Eviction" Series.

Decluttering is tough and I say this in fairness to anyone living in a cramped space, my goal on this post therefore is not to shame or judge, but to share insights on some effective ways to declutter.

Please come with me πŸ‘‡

#1:

BE

CONSISTENT

Decluttering is best done in bits, and the trick to doing this effectively is consistency.

An attempt to get too many things out of your space at the same time is not the best way to go about decluttering, so rather than an impulsive move that leads to quick burn out, you will do well decluttering in bits and segments.

I recommend you schedule a specific day or period, especially one that resonates with giving things out.

For instance Christmas is around the corner, it won't be a bad idea setting time out every weekend evicting some of those items you haven't used in a while.

Let me know your take on this.

#2:

SET

TRIGGERS

When it comes to decluttering, triggers drive consistency and like the Christmas instance cited in the last slide, it takes triggers to form a habit of decluttering.

Here are a couple of other triggers you can leverage for a smooth and effective decluttering experience πŸ‘‡

✅ Moving houses (e.g relocation)

✅ Makeovers (e.g renovation)

✅ Monetary value (e.g yard sales)

You will do well to tag these the triple M's 😊

#3:

CREATE

VISUAL

REMINDERS

Imagine having a picture of your dream space pasted on the wall of your bedroom, even though it's tugged somewhere in between the mess created by the clutter 😊

An array of hope, a flash of what is possible, perhaps that's all you need to get out of the clog of cramped spaces.

Another good way to go about this is by having reminder texts on post -It cards attached to surfaces you have contact with. A good example would be the handle of a door you open frequently.

I mean that's one out of many ways to go about it, so long it works for you, just like your decision to engage Team Consult Kenny on your next project will work for you.

I suggest you get started with the link below πŸ‘‡
