THE "MORE FOR LESS" SERIES 3: DELIVERY!!
THE
"MORE
FOR LESS"
SERIES 3:
DELIVERY!!
Hello and happy weekend Folks,
It's interesting to know the month is split in half already, I guess you are achieving your goals for May as fast as May 🙂
The "More for Less" Series is still on with the agenda to guide my audience on how to make the best of their space on a little budget and within a limited timeline.
In my last post I addressed what is perhaps the most prevalent need for most folks; the need for IDEAS, I hope you found it insightful?
Now to the subject of DELIVERY or EXECUTION
I have come to realise from experience that execution of ideas has become more tasking than ever. While there are many factors responsible for this, I should say the top on the list for me would be; access to an increasingly endless variety of information
I recently spoke at length with a client trying to differentiate an oxblood from a burgundy, a conversation that wouldn't have sufficed in 2026 BC when red was just a few shades 😄
My intention therefore is to help my audience see how to get over this concern with what I call the 3Ds in my post today.
Let's get going 👇
#1:
DESIGN
FREEZE
In a world where organizations budget a chunk of their earnings on promotion of their products and brands, everything now seem to look appealing, leading to constant brain waves.
It is therefore important to know your genuine needs and leap above the sheer appeal that comes with marketing stunts.
One good place to start is to agree with your designers (perhaps yourself) to have your designs frozen.
This implies no changes are permitted from a certain point in your project lifecycle, a move that will save you from constantly shifting the goal post and foot dragging.
#2:
DECIPHER
To decipher is to succeed in understanding, interpreting, or reading something that is confusing, obscured, or written in a code.
This is the point where you are able to read beyond the technical drawings and all the codified documents, to decide what truly works for you.
Whatever your choice is at this point, be sure to carry everyone on the execution team along.
#3:
DO IT
Once the design is set and direction is clear there is nothing else to do except to execute.
In the words of Sheryl Sandberg "Done is better than perfect". While your aim should be to make the best of what you do, avoid the temptation to go in cycles of brain waves that only keeps your project stuck.
Whether being stuck sounds familiar to you or there it's something just peculiar in your own case then Team Consult Kenny would like to hear from you as the next post features feedback from my engagement with my audience.
You don't have to wait till I reach out to you, feel free to start a conversation by using the link here👇
