THE "1ST IMPRESSIONS" SERIES 3: POINT OF REFERENCE
THE
"FIRST
IMPRESSIONS"
SERIES 3:
POINTS
OF
REFERENCE
Hello peeps,
I guess you are doing great and having a wonderful time out there.
It's been 3 weeks into The "1st Impressions" Series, where I share insights on how to create a good and lasting first impression of your spaces.
If you missed any part of this series, then do well to check out my previous posts using the link below π

The initial approach to this series has been from an interior designer's P.O.V, but along the line I got a second opinion in a feedback from one of my audience, which made me have a rethink. Shout-out to Adeolu π (now you guys know why I call you my amiable and intelligent audience π€).
In his thoughts (and I guess you would also agree) he mentioned that beyond gadgets and appliances, the prevailing CULTURE expressed in the attitude and disposition of the people you meet in a space is equally critical to the impression that will be created in that space.
And so I thought to talk about that as I round up this interesting subject with 3 acts of kindness that will make your spaces a point of reference long after people leave there π

SMILE
Did you know scientists have calculated 19 types of smiles? How many do you have? ππππ
Smiles are contagious and trust me people hardly forget the faces and places that give them a reason to smile.
Having a lovely space is great but a genuine smile shared with another person in that space will make them feel better about themselves, and about their situation. Isn't that why they came into your space in the first place?
Yeah I know it could be more complex than I think, but give it a try all the same ππ
So here is your task for the week ahead: Capture and share your 19 types of smiles πππ

GIFT
Common, who doesn't like a gift? ππ
Gifts do more than just make us feel happy in the moment – they also help us create lasting memories!
From personal experience I have come to realize that I gravitate towards spaces where I have once received a gift, even when I can't remember what the gift was π
Research has shown that the brain's memory center, called the hippocampus, plays a big role in connecting our minds to places we once received a gift.
So whether it's a box of candy for guests who are just popping into your space or the provision of a custom made item for another guest that will be staying longer, gifts never fail in leaving a good and lasting impression of your space.
Just remember, gifting is more about the thoughtfulness than it is about the gift.

HOPE
Much more than a smile and a gift is HOPE
Hope is what allows us to imagine a better future, to believe in our worth, and to connect our actions to a greater purpose. It can be described as the fuel that drives us through life's journey.
There are many ways to give hope to anyone that comes into your space, an inscription of inspiring words on your walls will go a long way but that's nothing compared to the words we speak to help others become their best.
And that's just about the same way Consult Kenny helps make the best of your space. Get started hereπ
